i'm floating far away

since i have a bunch of projects that are due any day now, of course it makes sense that i would leave joe at home and bring a book instead on a day that i am on campus with no class practically all day. so i finished the girl who could fly. good book, worth a read. it was written by victoria forester which, if you remember, is also the exact name of the girl tristran goes to get the star for in stardust. i thought that was cool.

anyways, in the book, piper (the main character) can fly. big surprise. she starts out just being able to float aimlessly and then teaches herself to fly. there's a big difference between floating and flying, as the book will explain.

do you know how cool that would be?? to be able to just say "I'm as light as a cloud, as free as a bird. I'm part of the sky and I can fly" and then just float up in the air... to soar up through the clouds and visit the stars. it would be awesome. so much more convenient than airplanes, except i suppose you couldnt carry much with you.

unfortunately, tomorrow i actually have to start some work. at least open the file for my forensics project and download the programs. i cant wait for the summer.
